What HomeLifePlanner stores, where it lives, and what happens with advertising, AI and statistics.
HomeLifePlanner (the HOME app) is a family organiser. This page says plainly what is stored, where, and why. It mirrors the policy shown inside the app.
What is stored
Only what you type into the app: household name, member names, tasks, meals and ingredients, plans, shopping lists, activities, birthdays, notification history and optional photos. No email address, phone number or password is ever asked: each phone signs in anonymously and joins a household with an invite code.
Where it lives
In a Supabase database and storage in the European Union, protected by row-level security: a household can only ever read its own rows. The website and app are served from Railway. Backups are taken automatically; upgrades are additive and never delete data. You can export a complete copy from Settings → Data & backup at any time.
AI features
When you use an AI action, the relevant text (a recipe, your grocery list, your town for activity ideas) is sent to OpenAI to produce the answer — either with the key you entered or through HOME for Premium households. Nothing is sent unless you tap an AI button.
Advertising and cookies
The articles and product pages of this website show ads served by Google AdSense. The app itself never shows Google ads, the legal pages carry none, and Premium households see no advertising at all.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
On your first visit a consent banner asks before any of these cookies are used; Accept and Refuse are equally available, and your answer is kept on your device for six months. If you refuse, Google may still show limited, non-personalised ads, which rely on limited cookies for frequency capping and fraud prevention.
To change or withdraw your choice on this site, use “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page. You can also opt out of personalised advertising from Google at any time, and read how Google uses information from sites that show its ads:

Website measurement
This website (not the app) uses Google Tag Manager, a container that loads measurement and advertising tags such as Google Analytics. Google Tag Manager itself sets no cookies. The tags it loads follow your consent choice: in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland they store nothing on your device until you accept in the consent banner, and you can withdraw that choice at any time from “Cookie settings”.
Usage statistics
In the app, once a day, each device records that the app was opened, with its language and platform. That is the only measurement made: no tracking pixels, no third-party analytics, no advertising identifiers. The operator sees aggregate numbers only.
Premium subscription
Premium is an optional monthly subscription for one household; the price is shown in the app before you pay and includes the AI assistant, unlimited photo space and no ads. It renews monthly until cancelled, and can be cancelled at any time from Settings → HOME Premium → Manage subscription. Payment is processed by Stripe; HomeLifePlanner never sees your card number.
Your control
Export a complete copy of your household from Settings → Data & backup. Leaving a household detaches your device; deleting the household removes everything it contains, including photos. Copies of recipes you shared stay with the households that added them.
